ProEV Dashcam ("the app") is developed by Anatoliy Lavrentev (contact: info@proev.ru). The app is distributed in two ways: from our website (with an account) and on Google Play (package ru.proev.dashcam, no account).
Website version: to activate Pro you create an account. We store your email, a hash of your password (never the password itself), your license key and the phones it is activated on (an anonymous device ID and the phone model — at most 2 phones per license). This is used only to verify your license and to contact you about your purchase.
Google Play version: no account and no personal data are collected. Purchases are handled by Google.
The app connects directly to your car dashcam over the dashcam's local Wi-Fi. Live video, recordings, photos and settings move only between your phone and your dashcam. Saved recordings are stored in your phone's gallery. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any third party.
Plate recognition runs entirely on your phone; recognized plates and their images are stored only on your phone and can be deleted in the app. Location is used only if you choose to add it to an accident package, and only inside the package file you create and share yourself.
Payments are processed by our payment partner (merchant of record) or, for the Google Play version, by Google. We do not receive or store your card details.
The app keeps a technical log on your device. It is sent to us only if you choose "Send diagnostic log" and share it yourself.
Account data is kept while your account exists. To access or delete your data, email info@proev.ru.
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
